Frequently Asked Questions

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by April 15th! If for some reason your plans change after the RSVP date, please reach out to us directly at missyandalecgoldberg@gmail.com

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Please arrive no later than 6:00 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:10 PM.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

The dress code is black tie. Please keep in mind that the ceremony, second line, and cocktail hour will be outdoors. New Orleans tends to be warm in the late spring, so we recommend wearing lightweight long dresses as opposed to heavy ball gowns. We suggest avoiding extremely high heels or bringing a small bag for your second line/dancing shoes!

What should I do if I have food allergies or restrictions?

Please indicate on your RSVP if you have any food allergies or restrictions. Dinner will be served in traditional New Orleans “reception style.” We will have several food stations with many different options to choose from!

Do I need to rent a car?

That is a personal preference. New Orleans has plenty of Ubers, Lyfts, and Taxis and by no means do we think renting a car is necessary. Most of our events are in the Lower Garden District and if you are staying in the area, you should be able to walk or grab a car easily.

Where should I go if I want to get my hair or makeup done?

Several hair salons, including Stardust and Mariposa, are within walking distance of the wedding venue. There are also several blow-dry bars, including Dry Bar and Blo Bar. Makeup artists in New Orleans book up in advance, so we recommend reaching out in advance! We suggest Petal Salon (also available for hair services), Buff Beauty Bar, Verde Beauty, Faces of Virtue, and Lab & Lounge. There are also makeup counters at Saks that offer makeup services.
